Comment: This book on muesums, galleries and historic houses in the UK seems to work on two levelsFirst, it is beautifully produced, and would do any coffee table or bookshelf justice. It has the feel of a quality guide, and backs it up with a very superior cover, excellent photos, and flowing descriptions.
Second, it is very informative, on all of the major and many lesser known museums, galleries and historic houses in the UK. It provides profiles, opening times, locations, admission charges and any specialist exhibitions that are to be held in the year.
So, in short, a good-looking browse, and a good inspiration to go and be cultural
