Summary: Good, but not brilliant
Comment: Much like the first book, there were some lovely walks described, but the description and instruction is not a patch on Wainwright. Be aware that although the book is entitled 'More Lakeland Walks', a lot of the walks are actually well outside the Lake District (one was almost in Scotland!) which was a bit disappointing and misleading.
If you try to follow the walks to the letter, be prepared to trek off the marked footpaths sometimes, and f you do that, make sure you take a map and compass as well!

Summary: Less of the same
Comment: Unfortunately, most of the good Lake District walks were covered in the first (and excellent) book. This second volume is left pretty much scraping the edges (and indeed sometimes pushing the boundaries of) the Lake District. Indeed some of the walks are almost in Yorkshire !That said, there are some decent and quite tough walks though these are ruined by particularly bad and sometimes misleading directions. Don't do them without a map, compass and some knowledge of how to use them !
Not as good as the original but woth it for the 2 or 3 good walks and the added adventure of trying to match up the paths described with the paths on the ground.
