Summary: Beautiful book with colour photo's and text.
Comment: This book is ideal for anyone wishing to discover the literary heritage sites and trails of Britain.

The sites chosen are all National Trust owned sites and if you are a member I am sure you might enjoy visiting some of them.

Inside the book there is a list of trails that can be followed and these have maps to follow which is quite practical.

Some of the literary connections to properties are explored in great detail and in particular there is an interesting background history into the development of literary heritage.

The author has expressed some her own views and has obviously researched a great deal into the various properties mentioned.

One draw back is that there is little mention of Scotlands literary heritage but this is probably because the book is printed by the National Trust. Readers wishing to find a similar book for Scotland will have to wait for The Scottish National Trust to produce one of their own.

This book would look well on any literary tourists bookshelf and would make a nice present for Christmas.
