Customer Rating: Summary: A brilliant work Comment: I seriously think this is the sort of book that virutally anyone would benefit from - whether it be the serious museum visitor, or the sort of person who likes but doesn't really understand, to the family outing on a cold wet day. It really is quite excellent, with just enough for each one, without feeling you are being overloaded with infomation. It loses a star for me on 2 accounts. One is not including a map of the whole country at the start. It is easy to know where Scotland or Wales is, but when England is divided into areas, such as West Midlands and East Midlands you do have to spend a bit of time going through each section to find the place you want. Also at several points the writer states that he is saddened at omitting a place but doesn't always state why that place is being omitted.
