They give you just enough detail, so you don't have to carry around a big book and they are small enough to fit into a coach clutch. They are practical and provide great information. I often only have time for extended weekend trips and the itineraries provided often guide you to the most interesting cultural places so that you feel you really got a sense for the city you are visiting in just a few short days.
