Comment: Nice to have when you are planning your trip to either Edinburgh or Glasgow and good to study the layout of the two cities while flying or waiting for your flight. But once you arrive by air or by train similar free ad-supported maps are available at Tourist Information centers. The advantage of this one is no ads and it is neatly folded and easily refolds repeatedly. The included guide also includes Glasgow and is most appropriate for those planning on not venturing far from Edinburgh or Glasgow. Those spending more that a couple of days in each city or planning on driving should obtain more detailed guides though. I used the maps in both cities for city self-walking tours with much pleasure. We will not get to use it until June, but anticipate that it will be very handy. The only thing I don't like is the map is a more flimsy paper and I'm concerned that it will deteriorate easily with the use I expect it will receive. Wish it had been a bit more sturdy, like the rest of the books. But, the information is superb!!
